lac rose (the rose/pink lake), not far from rufisque (45 minutes outside dakar). it's the senegalese equivalent of the dead sea. gets its pink hue from the minerals. wasn't all that pink when we saw it, though, because it is the rainy season which makes the lake a lot deeper. check out the piles of salt in this shot.
