So, I'm hiking up my transect, probably almost at 9000 feet (I walked this time), well above any sort of civilization, and I found this rock outcropping that was painted orange. For perspective, I think it's about my height. I also think it's there for the aliens, and that is why not five minutes later I tripped and busted my knee on a very sharp piece of martian rock and was forced to limp back down the mountain to safety.
