On the way to Copacabana, we had to cross the Straights of Tiquina. In any other place, there would be a bridge. However, since this is Bolivia, the bus has to cross on a barge. All the passengers have to get off and cross on a boat. Apparently, they used to have people stay on the buses while they crossed on the barge, but one time a barge tipped over and a bunch of people drowned.
