London tour, 8-20-05  -  The first thing we did when we arrived at Victoria Station was hop a big red tour bus. Our first guide was a unnervingly perky for that time of morning... The second kept making extremely lame puns. We learned a bit from each of them, though. For one thing, the fences in London became uniformly black when Queen Victoria suggested that everyone paint them thus to mourn Albert.

Also, one of the bridges across the Thames was built solely with female labor. (I think that part was true.) He also claimed that it has fallen down three times since. No, just joking. Four times. (You get the idea.)
