This is a pretty crumby drawing -- there isn't much detail or strengthening of the line -- but I was tired and had already gotten down the key ideas. The 'barbell' things at the bottom are definitely underdrawn, but I like the basic idea of two circles connected by some sort of umbilical.

I've been in a funk for the last month and haven't been able to work on any art so I decided to have a drawing session on Friday night to jumpstart things. Unfortunately, the scanner wouldn't accept two of the drawings because the shapes were so unusual and disconnected they just didn't scan all the way through... but here are four out of the six.
