Painting: SS Mesabi Miner  -  Believe it or not, but most american men have probably seen this ship at least once in their lives. That's because the networks routinely pan their cameras out toward the lake during Bears and Northwestern games... and it's not uncommon to catch a glimpse of a freighter headed towards the Port of Chicago (which is actually on the southside).

I'm sure people on plans will be quick to point out the flaws, but this is the first painting I've done in about ten years... so... I think it's pretty decent (though I didn't photograph it too well).

As a side note, I think that, from now on, I'll just paint a lake freighter whenever I'm angry or frustrated.
